دبانا dabānā H (caus. of دبنا) v. a. 1. To press down. 2. To snub, to chide, to keep under, to check, curb, restrain, repress, awe, depress, bow down, suppress. دبا لينا dabā lenā, To encroach upon. دبا مارنا dabā mārnā, 1. To overcome, to get the better of. 2. To crush to death. دباي ڐالنا dabāʼe ḍālnā, v. a. To keep concealed, to hide (generally, furtively).

دباو dabāʼo H (from دبانا) s. m. Strength, power, authority, pressure, crush, suppression, depres- sion, resignation, submissiveness. دباوماننا da- bāʼo mānnā, v. a. To stand in awe.
