بندهان bandhān S̱. (बंधन or निबंध) s. m. Pension, a fixed allowance made to any one.

بندهانا bandhānā S̱. (caus. of بندهنا) v. a. To bind, fasten, shut, &c.

بندهاني bandhān-ī S̱. s. m. 1. One whose business it is to carry stone, timber, &c. over his shoulder. 2. A pensioner. 3. A gunner, artilleryman.

بندهاٴي bandhāʼī S̱. (from بندهانا) s. f. Bond, binding, fastening.

بندهنا bandhnā बंधन S̱. v. n. To be tied, to be fastened, to be bound, to be continuous or unin- terrupted, to be kept, to be enclosed, to be laid, to be formed or composed. بندهي موٿهي bandhī mūṭhī, An undisclosed intention.

بندهوا bandhūʼā S or bandhuʼā, s.m. 1. A friend, relative, kinsman. 2. A prisoner, one bound, a captive.

بندهوانا bandhwānā S̱. (caus. of بندهنا bandhnā) v. a. To cause to be bound, tied, constructed, &c.

بندهيا बंध्या bandhyā S adj. Barren.

بندهيجـ bandhej S̱. (r. बंध Bind) s. m. 1. Parsi- mony. 2. Stability, steadiness, persistence. S. بندي (वन्दी) s. m. A prisoner, captive.

بندهک बंधक bandhak S s. m. A pledge, a pawn.

سمبندهي संबन्धी sambandh-ī S s. m. 1. Rela- tion. 2. Son or daughterʼs father-in-law.
