انگبین angabīn P s. m. Honey. (Arab. انجبین).

بين bīn P part. act. (from ديدن) in compos. Seeing, beholding, looking, regarding. S̱. بين 1. ben or benu or bain (for वेणु) s. f. A flute, pipe, fife. 2. bīn (for वीणा) s. f. A kind of lute. (See Asiat. Res., vol. i. art. xiii.). 3. bain (for वाणी) s. m. f. A word, speech.

بينا bīnā P (from ديدن) adj. Clear-sighted, seeing, having sight.

بيناٴي bīnā-ī P s. f. Sight, eyesight.

بينتنا bīntnā H v. a. (dakh.) To cut out or shape clothes: see بيونتنا byontnā.

بيندهنا bīndhnā वेधन S̱. v. a. To bore.

بينش bīn-ish P s. f. Seeing, discernment.

بيني bīnī P s. f. 1. The nose. بيني بريده bīnī- burīda, adj. Nose-clipt. 2. in compos. (from بين bīn) The act of seeing or regarding.

بينڐا bīnḍā H s. m. A roll of paper.

بينڐي bīnḍī वेणी S̱. s. f. The hair twisted or plaited behind; a tail. See بيني beṇī.

جبين jabīn A s. f. The forehead. جبين سا jabīn- sā, or جبين فرسا jabīn-farsā, Rubbing the fore- head (on the ground in adoration). S. جپ जप (r. जप Pronounce inwardly) jap, s. m. Muttering of prayers, repeating inaudibly passages from the scriptures, charms or names of a deity, counting silently the beads of a rosary, &c. جپ تپ jap tap (जप and तपः) s. m. Devotion, adoration. جپمال يا مالا jap-māl or -mālā (जपमाला) s. f. A rosary.

سکبينج sikbīnaj G. (Arab. but Pers. سکبينه) s. m. Sagapenum, a kind of gum resin. (Greek sagaphnon Hippoc. and Dioscor.).

سکنجبين sikanjabīn P. (Arab. of سرکه Vinegar, and انگبين Honey) s. f. 1. Oxymel. 2. Lime- juice or other acid mixed with sugar or honey.

شلبين shalbīn H s. Vice in a horse.

قرابين ḳarābīn Fr. s. f. A carbine. (French, ca- rabine).
