باو bāʼo H s. f. The pox. See بد bad.

باوبتاس bāʼo-batās S̱. s. f. Possession by a demon or devil; misfortune, calamity. See آسيب āseb. S̱. H. باوبهک bāʼo-bhak, adj. A prattler, trifling talker, babbler. S̱. H. باوجهک bāʼo-jhak, adj. A prattler, trifling talker, babbler.

باولي bāʼolī H s. f. 1. A large well into which people descend by steps to get water. 2. The drag (thing or animal) with which hawks, dogs, &c. are taught to hunt. 3. A trick. باولي دينا bāʼolī denā, To initiate, to train.

باولينا bāʼolenā S̱. s. m. Name of a defect in horses.

باونا bāʼonā S̱. adj. Dwarfish. See باون bāwan.

باوگولا bāʼo-golā S̱. (वातगुल्म i. e. वात Wind, and गुल्म The spleen) s. m. The colick, fla- tulency.

دباو dabāʼo H (from دبانا) s. m. Strength, power, authority, pressure, crush, suppression, depres- sion, resignation, submissiveness. دباوماننا da- bāʼo mānnā, v. a. To stand in awe.

لڙباولا laṛ-bāʼolā S̱. adj. Mad, foolish.

ڐباو ḍubāʼo H (from ڐوبنا) 1. adj. Out of manʼs depth, deep (enough to drown in). 2. s. Drowning. ¶ ḍubāʼū, s. (dakh.) In compos. Drown- er, sinker, immerser; destroyer.

گٿهيا باو gaṭhiyā-bāʼo S̱. (Sans. ग्रंथीयवात) s. f. Rheumatism.
