ازل azal A s. f. Eternity without beginning.

ازلي azal-ī A adj. Eternal without beginning, from all eternity.

تزلزل tazalzul A (inf. ii. of زلزلة) s. m. 1. Commo- tion, agitation, trepidation. 2. An earthquake.

غزل g̠ẖazal A s. f. An ode, an amatory poem. (Plur. غزليات). غزل خوان g̠ẖazal-ḵẖẉān, A re- citer of odes. غزل خواني g̠ẖazal-ḵẖẉān-ī, s. f. The reciting of odes. غزل سرا g̠ẖazal-sarā, adj. Singing an ode. غزل سراي g̠ẖazal-sarā-ī, s. f. Singing of odes.

قزل باشي ḳazal-bāshī T (comp. of t. قزل ḳizil, Red, and باش The head) s. m. A kind of Mug̠ẖal soldier. The ḳazal-bāshīs are consi- dered to be the descendants of the captives given to Shaikh Haidar by Tamerlane. They wore the red caps assumed by those captives as a mark of distinction, and are considered as the best troops of the Persian armies.
