ابوبکر abū bakr A (lit. father of the virgin) n. prop. The father-in-law and first successour to Muhammad.

اکرا akrā H 1. adj. Dear, costly. 2. s. f. A kind of vetch: see انکري ankrī.

اکرام akrām A s. plur. (of کرم) Favours, kindnesses, obligations, honour, respect.

اکرم akram A adj. compar. (of کریم) Very kind, merciful, generous, bountiful.

بل بکرا bal-bakrā S̱. (बलिवर्कर A goat for sacrifice) s. m. A person who dies in a battle, &c. without doing any thing.

بکرا bakrā वर्कर S̱. s. m. A he goat.

بکري bakrī वर्करी S̱. A goat (generally), a female goat.

تکرار takrār A (inf. ii. of کرّ) s. f. Repetition, tautology, altercation, contention, dispute, wran- gle, wrangling, cavil. تکرارکرنا takrār karnā, To dispute, debate, argue, wrangle, cavil, re- peat. A. H تکراري takrār-ī (from تکرار) adj. Importu- ning, seizing, troublesome, fond of argument, wrangler, wrangling, caviller, carper.

تکريم takrīm A (inf. ii. of کرم) s. f. 1. Honour, reverence, respect. 2. Treating with respect, honouring.

جهکري jhakrī H s. f. A milk-pail or -vessel.

سکرا sakrā संकीर्ण S̱. adj. Small (not having room enough), narrow, strait.

سکرانا sakrānā S̱. v. a. 1. (संकीर्ण) To straiten, to deprive of necessary room. 2. (स्वीकारण or caus. of سکارنا) To cause to accept (bill, &c.).

سکرانت sakrānt संक्रान्ति S̱. s. f. The entering of the sun into a new sign.

سکرانتي sakrānt-ī S̱. 1. adj. Relating to the سکرانت sakrānt. 2. s. f. See سنکرانتي sankrāntī.

سکراٴي sakrāʼī S̱. (from سکرانا) s. f. Smallness, want of room, narrowness.
