اکسمات अकस्मात् akasmāt S adv. Imme- diately, accidentally, without a cause.

اکڙ akaṛ H (see اکڙنا) s. f. Crookedness: strut, airs.

اکڙباٴي akaṛ-bāʼī H s. f. The cramp.

اکڙنا akaṛnā H v. n. 1. To writhe, to ache, to be cramped, to become stiff or rigid, to stiffen. 2. To strut affectedly, to give oneʼs self airs.

برکت barakat A s. f. Blessing, abundance, pros- perity, auspiciousness, an inherent prosperity which produces success or abundance. برکت دينا barakat denā, To bless, to prosper.

بسوکرما biswakarmā S (विश्वकर्मा i. e. विश्व Universe, and कर्मा Work, act) s. m. The arti- ficer of the gods, the Indian vulcan.

تل شکري til-shakarī S̱. (तिल and शर्करा) s. f. A kind of sweetmeat made of sesame and sugar.

تکبر takabbur A (inf. v. of کبر) s. m. Arrogance, haughtiness, pride. A. H. تکبري takabbur-ī, s. f. Haughtiness.

تکدر takaddur A (inf. v. of کدر) s. m. Muddiness, turbidness, dregs; dulness, moroseness, sullenness, disquietude of mind.

تکرر takarrur A (inf. v. of کرّ) s. m. Repetition, repeating, reiterating, persevering.

تکسر takassur A (inf. v. of کسر) s. m. 1. Being broken or shattered, spent or debilitated. 2. Carrying (figures, in arithmetick). 3. Folding up the wings (as a bird when about to cease from flight).

تکسل takassul A (inf. of کسل) s. m. Sickness, being lazy or inactive, indisposition.

تکفل takafful A (inf. v. of کفل) s. m. 1. Taking security. 2. Becoming security for another; bail.

تکلف takalluf A (inf. v. of کلف) s. m. 1. Inconvenience, ceremony, trouble, taking much pains oneʼs self in any matter. 2. Extravagance, pro- fusion. 3. Preparation. (Plur. تکلفات takal- lufāt). تکلفات دربار takallufāt-i-darbār, Ex- pending much. تکلفات رسمي takallufāt-i-rasmī, Ceremonious attention, empty or formal com- pliments. تکلفات مجلس takallufāt-i-majlis, The ceremonies of society, etiquette. تکلف برطرف takalluf bar-t̤araf, Waving ceremony. تکلف کرنا takalluf karnā, To take pains, to be cere- monious (in). تکلف مزاج takalluf-mizāj, adj. Ceremonious.
