اٿکا aṭkā H 1. s. m. The pot in which victuals are dressed for the publick at the door of the tem- ple of Jagannāth. 2. part. past. (of اٿکنا) Aground, stopped, hindered.

اٿکاؤ aṭkāʼo H s. m. Stop, prevention, hinderance, restraint, detention.

اٿکاؤنا aṭkāʼonā H Same as اٿکاؤ aṭkāʼo, q. v.

اٿکانا aṭkānā H (caus. of اٿکنا) v. a. To stop, to prevent, to hinder, restrain, detain, coerce.

اٿکل aṭkal H s. f. Guess, conjecture, judgment, opinion, quantity, size. اٿکل باز aṭkal-bāz, adj. Adroit at guessing; an appraiser.

اٿکل پچو aṭkal-pachchū H s. m. One who guesses at a venture, or without grounds on which to judge. adv. At random.

اٿکلنا aṭkal-nā H (see اٿکل) v. a. To guess, to conjecture, to judge, to estimate, to think.

اٿکهیل aṭkhel S̱. (r. अट्ट Exceed, and खेला Sport) adj. Wanton.

اٿکهیلي aṭkhel-ī S̱. s. f. Wantonness, an affected (also a graceful) pace or mode of walking.

بهولابهٿکا bhūlā-bhaṭkā S̱. adj. Missing the road, (generally, a person) calling on another in consequence of some ac- cident, &c. not intentionally to pay a visit.

بهٿکا bhaṭkā H adj. Astray.

بهٿکانا bhaṭkānā H v. a. To mislead, bewilder, deceive, scare, cause to wander.

جهٿکا jhaṭkā H (from جهٿکنا) 1. part. Slaughtered by cutting off the head (in the Hindū way), bro- ken asunder or torn by a sudden jerk, torn to pieces. 2. s. m. A shake, a pull, a twitch. جهٿکا کرنا jhaṭkā karnā, v. a. (dakh.) 1. To steal, filch. 2. (i. q. جلدي کرنا) To make haste, to be precipitate.
