اٿٿ aṭaṭ H (perhaps, from अ and ٿٿي A skreen or mat) adj. Coarse, strong (cloth).

ٿٿ پونجيا ṭaṭ-pūnjī-ā S̱. adj. Bankrupt, or re- duced in circumstances (a merchant).

ٿٿا ṭaṭṭā H s. m. A screen.

ٿٿانا ṭaṭānā H v. n. To be dried. (Vulgar).

ٿٿر ṭaṭṭar H s. m. A matted shutter.

ٿٿري ṭaṭirī S̱. s. f. The name of a bird. See ٿٿي‍ﮩري A sandpiper.

ٿٿهيا ṭaṭhiyā H s. f. A flat dish used by Hindūs.

ٿٿي ṭaṭṭī H s. f. 1. A screen, a matted shutter. 2. A necessary office. 3. A frame for illumination. ٿٿي بندهنا ṭaṭṭī bandhnā, v. n. To draw up men in a close rank. شکار کي ٿٿي کي اوٿ بيٿهنا shikār kī ṭaṭṭī kī oṭ baiṭhnā, 1. To do secretly. 2. To form an ambuscade.

ٿٿيا ṭaṭiyā H s. f. A screen, a matted shutter.

ٿٿيـﮩرا ṭaṭīhrā S̱. s. m. 1. (टिट्टिभ) A sand- piper (Tringa goensis). ٿٿيـﮩري سي آسمان تهاما جاٴيگا ṭaṭīhrī se āsmān thāmā jāʼegā? Will the sky be supported by the sandpiper? Applied to a person who undertakes an enterprise far above his strength. (This bird being said to sleep with its legs extended upwards, as if to prop the firmament). 2. A kind of rattle.
