اپلچهن अप and लक्षण A mark, a sign apa- lachchh̤aṇ S. s. m. A bad omen, bad sign.

بلکهنا bilakhnā विलक्षण S̱. 1. v. a. To see, to look at, to perceive, to behold. 2. (perhaps h.) v. n. To be displeased.

سلکهن सुलक्षण sulakkh̤aṇ S (i. q. سلچهن su- lachchh̤an, q. v. in dakh.) adj. 1. Clever: see چتر chatur. 2. Of good marks or features; beautiful.

لست lasit लक्षित S̱. adj. Seen, evident.

لچهمن लक्ष्मण lachh̤maṇ S (or laksh̤maṇ) s. m. Name of the son of Dasaratha by Sumitrā, and half-brother of Rāmachandra.

لچهمي लक्ष्मी lachh̤mī S (or laksh̤mī) s. f. 1. The wife of Vish̤ṇu, and goddess of wealth and prosperity. (She is also called Padmā, Ka- malā and Srī, and is supposed to be the Ceres of the Latins). 2. Prosperity, wealth. 3. Beauty, splendour.

لچهن लक्षण lachh̤aṇ S or lachchh̤aṇ, s. m. Sign, mark; symptom, feature, auspiciousness (?). لچهن ونتا lachchh̤an-wantā (dakh.) Possessing marks; beautiful, fortunate, auspicious.

لکشمي लक्ष्मी laksh̤mī S s. f. See لچهمي lachh̤mī.

لکشن लक्षण laksh̤aṇ S s. m. See لچهن lachh̤aṇ. H. S̱. لک کرنا lak karnā, v. (dakh. i. q. صاف کرنا) To make clear (?). H. S̱. لک لک کرنا lak-lak karnā, v. (dakh.) To glitter: see چمکنا chamaknā.

لکهمن lakhman लक्ष्मण S̱. n. prop. The half- brother of Rāmachandra, q. v.

کلچهن कुलक्षण ku-lachchh̤aṇ S s. m. Misconduct, bad temper, ugliness.

کلچهنا ku-lachchh̤aṇ-ā कुलक्षण S̱. adj. Of bad signs or features, ugly, ill-tempered, ill-omened.
