دانڐ dānḍ दंड S̱. s. m. Fine, punishment, amercement, oppression, injustice, injury. S̱. H. دانڐا مينڐا dānḍā-menḍā (from Sans. दंड A stick put up as a land-mark, and h. مينڐ A bank raised for the like purpose) s. m. The frontier or boundary between the lands of two proprietors.

دانڐي dānḍī दंड S̱. s. f. A balance.

دنڐ दंड danḍ S s. m. 1. A stick, a staff. 2. Fine, penalty, punishment, castigation by amercement or putting to death. 3. (dakh.) See ڐنڐ ḍanḍ.

ڐانڐ ḍānḍ दंड S̱. s. m. 1. Retaliation, punish- ment, penalty, fine, amercement, mulct, revenge, forfeit. 2. An oar. 3. The backbone. 4. A stick. 5. A line. ڐانڐ بهرنا ḍānḍ bharnā, v. a. To pay a fine. ڐانڐ لينا ḍānḍ lenā, To take a fine, to fine, to amerce.

ڐانڐنا ḍānḍ-nā दंडन S̱. v. a. To retaliate, to take revenge, to fine, to punish.

ڐنڐ ḍanḍ दंड S̱. s. m. 1. The arm above the elbow. 2. A kind of exercise, placing the hands on the ground and then bending down so as al- most to touch the earth with the breast. ڐنڐ پيل ḍanḍ-pel, One who exercises himself at the ḍanḍ.

ڐنڐا ḍanḍā दंड S̱. s. m. 1. A staff, an ensign- staff. 2. The beam of a pair of scales. 3. A collector of market duties. See ڐنڐيا sign. 2.

ڐنڐوت ḍanḍ-wat दंडवत् S̱. s. f. Hindū sa- lutation, bow, obeisance, prostration.

ڐنڐي ḍanḍī दंडी S. s. f. 1. A handle. 2. The beam of a pair of scales. 3. A mendicant who carries a staff in his hand. پگ ڐنڐي pag- ḍanḍī, s. f. A footpath, by-path, track.
