آچرن आचरण ācharaṇ S s. m. Manner of life, conduct, behaviour, custom, practice, insti- tute, religious observance.

اچر अ and चर Moveable a-char S. adj. Im- movable; inanimate.

جلچر जलचर jal-char S adj. Aquatick (as birds, but not fish), moving or going in water.

موچرس मोचरस moch-ras S s. m. Gum of the semal tree. (Bombax heptaphyllum).

چابنا chābnā चर्वण S̱. v. a. To chew, to mas- ticate, to gnaw. چاب چاب باتين کرني chāb chāb bāteṅ karnī, To mince oneʼs words, to speak little and haughtily. ¶ (dakh.) See چبهانا.

چام chām चर्म्म S̱. s. m. Hide, skin, leather. چام کي دام چلاني chām ke dām chalāne, v. a. To stretch to the utmost a temporary authority. (lit. To give currency to a coin of leather).

چبانا chabānā चर्वण S̱. v. a. To chew, gnaw, champ, masticate, bite (the lip). چبا چباکي بات کرني chabā chabāke bāt karnī, To speak with study or preparation; also, without reserve, or haughtily and scornfully.

چباٴي chabāʼī चर्वण S̱. s. f. Mastication.

چبلانا chablānā चर्वण S̱. v. a. To chew slowly.

چبينا chabenā चर्वण S̱. s. m. Parched grain to exercise the teeth with when more substan- tial food is not at hand.
