رجوگن रजोगुण rajo-guṇ S s. m. One of the three characters or dispositions assigned by the Hindūs to the human mind. They are 1. सत्व satwa, Goodness, benevolence. 2. रजः raja, Passion or love of sensual enjoyment or of pleasure. 3. तमः tama, Darkness, ignorance, delusion, promptitude to the vindictive passions. These are all exhibited in the Hindū Trinity: in Brahmā, raja prevails; in Vishnu, satwa; and in Siva, tama.
