بگڙنا bigaṛnā H v. n. To be spoiled, damaged or

جهگڙنا jhagaṛnā H v. n. To wrangle, quarrel, dis- pute, cavil, contend, squabble.

دگڙنا dagaṛnā H v. a. To disbelieve a true tes- timony.

رگڙنا ragaṛnā H v. a. To rub, to scour, to grate, to fret, to abrade, to excoriate.

لگڙنا lagaṛnā H v. a. (dakh.) To rub. لگڙکر مارنا lagaṛkar mārnā, To beat violently.

گڙن gaṛan S̱. (from گڙنا) s. f. Swamp, morass.

گڙنا gaṛnā S̱. (from गर्त्त A hole) v. n. To pene- trate, enter, be driven into the earth (as, a stake, &c.), be fixed, fix, lie, sink, be buried.

گڙنتهہ gaṛanth H s m. 1. Name of a game, tip- cat. 2. A mode of incantation performed for the destruction of any person (māraṇ), to se- cure his affection (mohan), to subject him to obedience (basīkaraṇ), to imprison him or de- prive him of the power of action or speech (stambhan), to drive him away (uchchāṭan), or to call him (ākarsh̤an). Certain words are pronounced over an effigy of the person, or his name in writing, which is afterwards buried.
