گهونٿنا ghūnṭnā H v. a. To gulp, to drink, to swallow. ¶ ghonṭnā, 1. v. a. To polish by rubbing. 2. (met.) To investigate. 3. To strangle. 4. s. m. A stone, &c. with which any thing is polished. 5. The knee.

گهونٿي ghūnṭī H s. f. A medicine consisting of aloes, spices, and borax, given to new-born infants to clear out the meconium. (In urdū, گهٿي ghuṭṭī).
