اشٿانگ अष्टांग अष्ट Eight, and अंग Mem- ber ash̤ṭāng S. Eight parts of man, viz. the hands, feet, thighs, breast, eyes, head, words and mind. اشٿانگ پرنام ash̤ṭāng-praṇām, s. m. Prostration, in salutation or adoration, so as to touch the ground with those eight parts.

اوٿ پٿانگ ūṭ-paṭāng H s. m. Absurdity, non- sense, what is without meaning or foundation. adj. Poor, helpless, destitute, in disorder.

اوٿ پٿانگي ūṭ-paṭāng-ī H adj. (used substantively) One who speaks inconsiderately or without preparation.

اٿپٿانگي aṭpaṭāngī H adj. Inconsiderate, irregu- lar, unstudied, thoughtless.

ٿانچ ṭānch H adj. Perverse, audacious, troublesome.

ٿانچڙا ṭānchṛā H adj. Perverse, audacious, troublesome.

ٿانڐا ṭānḍā H s. m. 1. A venture (of goods). 2. Name of a place. 3. The goods of a banjārā.

ٿانک ṭānk H s. f. 1. An iron pin. 2. A stitch.

ٿانک ṭānk टंक S̱. s. m. A weight equal to four māshas. (See under تولا tolā).

ٿانکا ṭānkā H s. m. 1. A stitch. 2. A tub made of stones. 3. Solder. ٿانکي لگانا ṭānke lagānā, 1. To stitch. 2. To solder.

ٿانکنا ṭānknā H (trans. of ٿنکنا) v. a. To stitch, to cobble.

ٿانکهـ ṭānkh H s. (in Guzerat) An under-ground reservoir for water, a tank.

ٿانکي ṭānkī H s. f. 1. A venereal chancre or shanker. 2. A square piece cut out of a melon to examine its quality.

ٿانکي ṭānkī टंक S̱. s. f. A chisel.

ٿانگ ṭāng H s. f. The leg. ٿانگ اٿهانا ṭāng uṭhānā, To copulate. ٿنگ دينا ṭāng denā, 1.
