تڙپيلا taṛpīlā H (from تڙپنا) adj. Hasty, hurrying. P.H. تڙقنا taṛaḳnā (from ترکيدن) v. n. To be crack- ed, to be split.

جهپيٿ jhapeṭ H s. (dakh.) See جهپٿ jhapaṭ.

روپيه rūpiya S̱. (from روپا) s. m. A coin so called. The Calcutta Sicca Rupee is worth two shil- lings, and the silver of it is better than English standard silver by 2 3/4 pence the ounce. By the regulations of Government passed in May 1793, it should weigh 179 2/3 grains (Troy wt.). (The inflect. of the sing. and the plur. nom. is ge- nerally made روپيي rūpiye, rụpiye, rụpaʼe or رپي rupai or روپي rụpai).

لپيٿ lapeṭ H (from لپيٿنا) s. f. m. A fold, a ply, envelope, twist, bandage, fillet. لپيٿ جهپيٿ يا سپيٿ lapeṭ-jhapeṭ or -sapeṭ, s. f. Evasion, subterfuge.

لپيٿا lapeṭā H s. (dakh.) See لپيٿ lapeṭ.

لپيٿن lapeṭan H s. f. A roller on which cloth is wound in the loom, a button, &c.

لپيٿنا lapeṭnā H v. a. To wrap up, to fold, to en- close, to pack, to roll, to furl, to spread.

لپيٿوان lapeṭ-wān H adj. Twisted, ornamented with gold or silver thread wound round it.

مامي پينا māmī pīnā S̱. v. a. To shew partiality.

ميخي روپيه meḵẖ-ī rūpaiya P. A rupee which has been hollowed and then filled with lead, copper, &c. adulterated.

پارس پيپل pāras-pīpal पार्श्वपिप्पल S̱. s. m. The name of a tree. (Hibiscus populneoides. Roxb.). S.P. پارسي pārsī (Sans. पारसी) s. m. A Per- sian, the Persian language.

پرپيٿهـ par-paiṭh H s. m. A duplicate of a bill of exchange.
