توحيد tauḥīd A (inf. ii. of وحد) s. f. Unity, be- lieving in the unity of the deity.

روح rūḥ A (Heb. ) s. f. Soul, spirit. روح افزا rūḥ-afzā, Increasing the spirit or life. روح الامين rūḥu-l-amīn, The angel Gabriel. روح القدس rūḥu-l-ḳuds, The holy spirit, the angel Gabriel. روح الله rūḥu-l-lāh, The spirit of God, Jesus Christ. (Plur. ارواح).

روحاني rūḥānī A (from روح) adj. Spiritual.

صبوح ṣabūḥ A s. Wine drunk in the morning, wine which may be for use in the morning.

صبوحي ṣabūḥ-ī A. s. f. A bottle for holding wine; the morning draught of wine. صبوحي کش ṣa- būḥī-kash, A drinker of the morning draught.

فتوح futūḥ A s. f. plur. (of فتح) 1. Victories. 2. (met.) Abundance, easy circumstances, income received gratuitously.

فتوحات futūḥāt A s. plur. (of فتح) Victories.

فتوحي fatūḥ-ī A. (q. d. open; from فتح) s. f. A kind of jacket without sleeves.

لوح lauḥ A (Heb. ) s. f. A plank, a table, a board (especially, on which any thing is written), a tablet. لوح محفوظ lauḥ-i-maḥfūz̤, The guarded table on which the destinies of mankind are written (according to the Muhammadans). لوح وقلم lauḥ-o-ḳalam, s. f. The tablet and pen on, and with, which the decrees of the deity are written.

متوحش mutawaḥḥish A (part. act. V. of وحش) adj. Terrified.

مجروح majrūḥ A (part. pass. of جرح) adj. Wounded.

مذبوح muẕbūḥ A (part. pass. of ذبح Heb. Aram. ) adj. Killed, slain, sacrificed. (Plur. مذبوحات maẕbūḥāt). A. P. مذبوهي maẕbūḥ-ī, s. State of being killed, &c.

مشروح mashrūḥ A (part. pass. of شرح) adj. 1. Explained, illustrated. 2. Above-mentioned.

مشروحا mashrūhaṉ A (from شرح) adv. Agree- ably to the explanation, circumstantially.

مطروح mat̤rūḥ A (part. pass. of طرح Heb. and Aram. ) 1. adj. Rejected, dejected, abject. 2. (subst.) An infidel. (Plur. مطروحات).
