آدمیت ādmīyat A s. f. Humanity, civility. آدمیت پکڙنا ādmīyat pakaṛnā, To become ci- vilized. آدمیت سکهلانا ādmīyat sikhlānā, or آدمیت مین لانا ādmīyat meṅ lānā, To civilize. آدمیت کرنا ādmīyat karnā, To behave with humanity.

امیدوار ummed-wār P adj. Hopeful, hoping, ex- pecting. s. An expectant, a dependent, a can- didate, a cadet. امیدوارهونا ummed-wār honā, To hope.

امیدواري ummed-wār-ī P s. f. Expectation, hope, hopefulness, dependence.

امیر amīr A s. m. A commander; a nobleman, a grandee, a lord. امیرالامرا amīru-l-umarā, Lord of lords (a title given by eastern princes to their prime ministers). امیرالبحر amīru-l-baḥr, Admi- ral. امیرالمومنین amīru-l-mūminīn, Commander of the faithful (a title of the Khalifs).
