ادهومکهہ अधोमुख अधस् Down, and मुख Face adho-mukh S. adj. With the head down- wards (as the Hindūs practise in the tapasyā), looking downwards, drooping the head (from grief or shame), headlong.

المک उल्मुक ulmuk S s. m. Firebrand, wood burning or burnt, as charcoal. A.P. المناک alam-nāk, adj. Full of pain or grief, afflicted.

امک अमुक amuk S adj. Such a one, a certain person.

امکا ڐهمکا amkā ḍhamkā H s. m. Trifles, trifling; a person of little estimation.

بمکهـ विमुख bimukh S or vi-mukh, adj. Having the face averted, turned from, averse.

بهرمکهـ bahir-mukh S̱. (from वहिर् Out, and मुख Face) s. m. The neglect or violation of any moral or religious duty; impious.

تال مکهانا tāl-makhānā H s. m. The name of a medicinal herb. (Barleria longifolia).

تمک tamak S̱. (from तमः) s. f. 1. Vanity, arro- gance, pride. 2. (Verbal n. f. from تمکنا). Growing red in the face.

تمکا tamkā S̱. s. m. A stroke of the sun.

تمکنا tamaknā S̱. v. a. 1. See تمتمانا 2. To be enraged without cause, or to break out into vio- lence at a temperate and reasonable speech.

تمکنت tamkanat A (see تمکين) s. f. Dignity, gravity, majesty.
