ادهومکهہ अधोमुख अधस् Down, and मुख Face adho-mukh S. adj. With the head down- wards (as the Hindūs practise in the tapasyā), looking downwards, drooping the head (from grief or shame), headlong.

بمکنا bamaknā H v. n. To swell.

بمکهـ विमुख bimukh S or vi-mukh, adj. Having the face averted, turned from, averse.

بهرمکهـ bahir-mukh S̱. (from वहिर् Out, and मुख Face) s. m. The neglect or violation of any moral or religious duty; impious.

تال مکهانا tāl-makhānā H s. m. The name of a medicinal herb. (Barleria longifolia).

تمکنا tamaknā S̱. v. a. 1. See تمتمانا 2. To be enraged without cause, or to break out into vio- lence at a temperate and reasonable speech.

تمکنت tamkanat A (see تمکين) s. f. Dignity, gravity, majesty.

تمکين tamkīn A (inf. ii. of مکن) s. f. Majesty, dignity, authority, power.

جمکنا jamaknā H v. n. To succeed, to go on well, to fit, to be assembled. دوکان جمکي dūkān jamkī, Buyers and sellers are collected in the shop. لڙاٴي جمکي laṛāʼī jamkī, The fight was joined. مجلس جمکي majlis jamkī, The assem- bly is full. مقدمه جمکا muḳaddama jamkā, The cause is begun to be debated.

جهمکنا jhamaknā H v. n. 1. To glitter. 2. To dance.

جهمکي jhamkī H s. f. Glance, glare, glitter.

جهومکي jhūmkī H s. f. A kind of ear-ring. See جهمکا jhumkā.

جوالامکهـ jwālā-mukh S̱. (from ज्वालामुखी A title of the goddess Devī) s. f. A volcano.

دمکلا dam-kalā S̱. s. m. 1. A squirt, a fire-engine. 2. A jack, or crane (for raising weights).

دمکنا damaknā H v. n. To shine, to glow.
