استقبال istiḳbāl A (inf. x. of قبل Heb. and Ch. He came in front, he accepted) s. m. 1. En- countering, meeting, the ceremony of meeting and receiving a visitor. 2. Futurity.

اقبال iḳbāl A (inf. iv. of قبل) s. m. Prosperity, good fortune, auspices. اقباله ikbāluhu, His good fortune, &c. اقبالہم iḳbāluhum, Their good fortune, &c.

اقبالمند iḳbāl-mand P adj. Prosperous, fortunate.

عاقبت āﻌkibat A (from عقب Heb. ) s. f. 1. The end, conclusion, futurity, future state. 2 Success. 3. adv. Finally, at the end, at last, after all. عاقبت انديش āﻌḳibat-andesh, Pro- vident, prescient, considerate, discreet, looking into futurity. عاقبت اند يشي āﻌḳibat-andesh-ī, s. f. Foresight, regard to the issue, end, conse- quence or future.
