عماد iﻌmād A (Heb. from عمد Heb. To support, to stand) s. m. 1. A lofty pillar. 2. Confidence, reliance, trust, support.

عمارت iﻌmārat A (from عمر Heb. ) s. f. 1. That by which a place becomes habitable, a publick edifice, a building, structure, cultiva- tion, building. 2. A habitation. 3. A fortifi- cation. (Plur. عمارات).

عماري aﻌmārī A s. f. A litter or seat with a ca- nopy to ride in on an elephant or camel. (When it has no canopy, it is called هوده).

معمات muʼaﻌmmāt A. s. plur. (dakh.) of معما muʼaﻌmmā, q. v.

معمار miaﻌmār A (from عمر Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. A builder, architect, mason. (Pers. plur. معماران).
