اشتعال ishtiʼāﻌl A (inf. viii. of شعله) s. m. f. In- flaming, burning, lighting a fire or candle; fo- menting or instigating a quarrel. A. P. اشتعالک ishtiʼāﻌlak (dimin. of اشتعال) s. f. A small flame; a quarrel. اشتعالک دینا ish- tiʼāﻌlak denā, v. a. To foment (quarrels), to encourage to bad actions, to abet.

افعال afʼāﻌl A s. plur. (of فعل) Actions, &c.

ان شا الله تعالي in shā allāhu taāﻌlạ A God willing, if God pleases, please God.

انفعال infiʼāﻌl A (inf. vii. of فعل) s. m. Shame, modesty, the being abashed.

تعاليٰ taʼāﻌlạ̄ A (from علو) adj. Most high. تعاليٰ الله taāﻌlạ-llāh, The most high God.

عالم āﻌlam A (Heb. ) s. m. عالم āﻌlim A part. pres. (of علم) Learned, knowing. عالم غيب āﻌlim-i-g̠ẖaib, adj. Prescient, knowing what is concealed, or the past and future.

عالميان āﻌlam-iyān A. s. m. People, men, inha- bitants of the world.

عالي āﻌlī A (part. act. of علو) adj. High, sublime, eminent, grand. (Fem. عاليه āﻌliya). عالي تبار āﻌlī-tabār, adj. Of high descent. عالي جاه āﻌlī- jāh, or عاليشان āﻌlī-shān, adj. Of high rank, magnificent. عالي جاهي āﻌlī-jāh-ī, s. f. Highness of rank or dignity. عالي فطرت āﻌlī-fit̤rat, adj. High-minded. عالي قدر āﻌlī-ḳadr, adj. Worthy, of high rank. عالي مرتبه āﻌlī-martaba, adj. High in rank or dignity. عاليمقام āﻌlī-maḳām, adj. Of high rank. عالي مقدار āﻌlī-miḳdār, adj. Ex- alted, high in dignity. عالي منش āﻌlī-manish, or عالي همت āﻌlī-himmat, High-minded, ambi- tious. عالي منشي āﻌlī-manish-ī, s. f. Magna- nimity. عالي همتي āﻌlī-himmat-ī, s. f. High- mindedness, ambition.

متعال mutaʼāﻌl A (for متعالي part. act. VI. of علو Heb. ) adj. High, sublime.

معالج muʼāﻌlij A (part. act. III. of علج) s. m. A physician.

معالجه muʼāﻌlaja A (inf. III. of علج) s. m. 1. Curing, healing, treatment. 2. A remedy. معالجه کرنا muʼāﻌlaja karnā, To heal, cure, attend (as a physician).
