باصره bāṣira A part. act. (from بصر used substan- tively) Sight, the sense of seeing.

تصرف taṣarruf A (inf. v. of صرف) s. m. 1. Posses- sion, use, sway. 2. Expenditure, disposal, em- bezzlement, extravagance. تصرف کرنا or تصرف مين لانا taṣarruf karnā, or taṣarruf meṅ lānā, To take or get possession of, to apply to oneʼs own purpose, embezzle, occupy. Plur. تصرفات taṣarrufāt (in general acceptation for) The sum total of expenses.

تصرفي taṣarruf-ī A. s. f. Common provisions given to dependants, &c. (خاصه ḵẖāṣṣa, being what the master and his company eat).

تصريح taṣrīh A (inf. ii. of صرح) s. f. Evidence, manifestation, explanation, narration.

تصريف taṣrīf A (inf. ii. of صرف) s. f. 1. Conju- gation, declension, inflection (in grammar). 2. Changing, turning, converting. تصريف کرنا taṣrīf karnā, To conjugate, decline, inflect (in grammar).

ثعلب مصري s̤aﻌlab miṣrī A s. m. Salep (the root of a species of orchis (Orchis mascula), considered, particularly in the east, to be a strong restorative and aphrodisiack).

صرفه ṣarfa A s. f. 1. Expense, expending. 2. Profusion, profit, utility, surplus, redundancy, addition. 3. The twelfth mansion of the moon, a star in the tail of Leo.

صره ṣurra A (from صرّ Heb. To tie) s. m. A purse.

صريح ṣarīḥ A (from صرح) adj. Apparent, evident, clear, palpable.

صريحًا ṣarīḥaṉ A adv. Clearly, openly, evidently, plainly.

صرير ṣarīr A s. f. The scratching sound of a pen, the grating of a door, &c.

عنصري uﻌnṣur-ī A. adj. Elemental, original.

متصرف mutaṣarrif A (part. act. V. of صرف Heb. ) adj. 1. Profuse, extravagant. 2. Posses- sing, having the sway of, occupying, embezzling. 3. (In grammar) Declinable, declined.

محاصره muḥāṣara A (inf. III. of حصر Heb. ) s. m. Surrounding, besieging, investing, block- ading, sitting down before a fort, siege, blockade, &c. محاصره کرنا muḥāṣara karnā, To besiege, invest, beset, blockade, compass, surround.

مصرف muṣrif A (part. act. IV. of صرف) adj. Prodigal. ¶ maṣraf (from صرف) s. m. Ex- penditure, expense, disbursement, cost, charge.
