اسپند ispand P s. m. A seed burnt at marriages to drive away evil spirits: it is, also, burnt as a charm for the like purpose some days after a child is born, particularly at the door; and when a child goes out or comes home. It is often mixed on those occasions with mustard seed, and hence has been confounded with the latter (خردل).

سپنا sapnā S̱. (स्वप्न) s. m. A dream. سپن دوش sapn-dosh (स्वप्नदोष) s. m. Pollutio noc- turna. سپنابچاري sapnā-bichār-ī(स्वप्नविचारी) s. m. An interpreter of dreams.
