رسوتهـ rasūth H s. f. A kind of collyrium, ex- tracted from the root of the Amomum anthorhizum: Roxb.

سرسوتي सरस्वती saraswatī S s. f. The wife of Brahmā, the goddess of speech and eloquence, the patroness of musick and the arts, and the inventress of the Sanskrit language and Deva- nāgarī letters.

سوتل sūtal सुतल S̱. s. m. A division of the lower regions, the sixth in descent.

سوتلا sūtlā S. (from सूत्र) s. m. 1. Reins of a car- riage. 2. The little skin that rises backwards near the nails, at the end of the fingers.

سوتنا sūtnā S̱. (from सुप्त) v. n. To sleep.

سوتنتر स्वतंत्र स्व Own, and तंत्र Motive, will swa-tantr S. adj. Independent, absolute. S. سوتنترتا स्वतंत्रता (from سوتنتر q. v.) swatan- tratā, s. f. Independence, absoluteness.

سوتهن sūthan H s. f. Drawers.

سوتهني sūthnī H s. f. 1. Drawers. 2. An edible root. (Dioscorea fasciculata: Roxb.).

سوتهہ शोथ soth S s. f. Swelling, intumescence.

سوتي sūtī सूत्रीय S̱. adj. Made of cotton thread, threaden.

سوتيا ڐاه sautiyā-ḍāh S̱. or -dāh (from सपत्नी A rival wife, and दाह Burning) s. f. Malice of a rival wife.

سوتيلا saut-elā S̱. (from سوت) adj. Belonging or relating to saut, of one father by different mo- thers; as, سوتيلا بهاٴي sautelā bhāʼī, Step-brother; سوتيلي بہن sautelī bahin, Step-sister.

پرسوتي prasautī S̱. (प्रसववती see پرسو) s. f. A puerperal woman.
