جسدا jasudā S̱. s. f. See جسودا.

سدا sadā सदा S̱. adv. Always. سداپهل sadā- phal, 1. s. m. A fabled fruit, eating of which confers long life, &c. 2. adj. Constantly bearing fruit (epithet of a tree). 3. A kind of lemon. سداسو सदाशिव sadā-siva, A name of Mahādeva: see سو siva. سداسـہ‍اگن sadā- suhāgan, s. f. 1. The name of a bird (Trogon dilectus: Buch. MSS.). 2. Name of a flower (Hibiscus phœniceus: the white variety). 3. A kind of faḳīr dressed like a woman.

سدابرت sadā-bart सदाव्रत S̱. s. m. Alms, or food distributed daily to the poor, travellers, &c.

سدان sadāṅ S̱. adv. (dakh.) for سدا sadā, q. v.

سدان suddāṅ H adv. (dakh.) With: see سدهان suddhāṅ, and سميت samet.

سدرة sidrat A s. Name of a tree (especially, in paradise). سدرة المنتـہي sidratu-l-muntahī, A station in the seventh heaven, a tree of know- ledge in paradise. See سدره sidra.

سدرسن सुदर्शन su-darsan S s. m. The discus or missile weapon of Vish̤ṇu or Kr̤ish̤ṇa. See چکر chakr, sign. 2.

سدرش सदृश sa-dr̤ish S adj. Alike.

سدره sidra A s. One of a species of lote tree. طايرسدره t̤āʼịr-i-sidra, A name of the angel Gabriel. سدره طوبي sidra-i-t̤ūbạ̄, Name of a tree in paradise producing delicious fruit. S. سدگت सद्गति (सत् True, right, and गति q. v. under گت) sad-gati, s. f. Salvation.

مسدس musaddas A (part. pass. II. of سدس) 1. adj. Composed of six; sexangular. 2. s. m. A kind of stanza consisting of six lines, sextain: hexameter. 3. A hexagon.
