ابرص abraṣ A (from برص) adj. Leprous, having the leprosy.

برص baraṣ A s. m. Leprosy. P.A. برطرف bar-t̤araf, adj. Aside, apart, dismissed. برطرف کرنا bar-t̤araf karnā, v. a. To dismiss, discharge, turn off, cashier. برطرف هونا bar- t̤araf honā, v. n. To be dismissed, discharged, turned off, or cast aside. P. A. برطرفي barṭarf-ī (from برطرف) s. f. Dismission, discharge.

حرص ḥirṣ A s. f. Desiring eagerly, greediness, avidity, covetousness, avarice, ambition. حرص کرنا ḥirṣ karnā, To covet.

حرصي ḥirṣ-ī A adj. Greedy, covetous, ambitious.

رصاص raṣāṣ A (from رصّ raṣṣa, He joined or united firmly. Heb. To beat, to impinge; which may produce either consolidation or fracture) s. m. 1. Tin. 2. Lead. ¶ raṣṣāṣ, A tinman.

عرصه aﻌrṣa A (orig. in Heb. To break) s. m. Area, space (either of time or of place), a plain, time, while, interval.

فرصت furṣat A (from فرص) s. f. Leisure, free- dom, ease, convenience, opportunity, occasion, time, relief, rest.

قرص ḳurṣ A s. m. An orb, a pellet, a ball of paste, the disk (of the sun or moon).

مترصد mutaraṣṣid A part. act. (V. of رصد Heb. ) 1. Expecting, watching, exploring. 2. Contemplating, gazing at.

مرصع muraṣṣaﻌ A (part. pass. II. of رصع) adj. Covered with gold, set with jewels; (subst.) Cloth or any texture so adorned.
