تصحيف taṣʼḥīf A (inf. ii. of صحف) s. f. 1. Making an errour in writing. 2. Writing. 3. Changing the diacritical points so as to alter the pronunciation and meaning of a word.

جحيم jaḥīm A s. A great and violently burning fire, gehenna, hell.

Preparing deceit, deceit- ful, artful. حيله سازي ḥīla-sāz-ī, s. f. Prepara- tion of deceit, artifice, chicane.

حين ḥīn A s. m. Time, interval of time. حين حيات ḥīn-i-ḥayāt, s. f. Lifetime.

حيوان ḥaiwān A (from حيّ) s. m. An animal, a beast, brute. (Plur. حيوانات).

حيواني ḥaiwān-ī A adj. Animal, brutal, beastly, bestial.

حيوانيت ḥaiwān-iyat A s. f. Beastliness, bes- tiality, brutality.

رحيق raḥīḳ A s. Wine, pure and of the best quality.

رحيم raḥīm A (from رحم) adj. Merciful. (An epithet of God and the prophet Muhammad).

رياحين riyāḥīn A s. plur. of ريحان rīḥān, q. v.

صحيفه ṣaḥīfa A (from صحف) s. m. A book, a leaf, a page, a letter.

ضحيٰ ẓuḥạ̄ A s. See ضحا ẓuḥā.

محيل muḥīl A (part. act. IV. of حيل Heb. ) s. m. A cheat, deceiver, knave, prevaricator.
