بحيره buḥaira A (dimin. of بحر) s. m. A small sea, a lake.

تحيت taḥīyat A (inf. ii. of حيّ) s. f. A saluta- tion, congratulation, prayer, benediction. (Plur. تحيات taḥīyāt).

تحير taḥaiyur A (inf. v. of حيرت) s. m. Amaze- ment, wonder, astonishment.

تصحيح taṣʼḥīḥ A (inf. ii. of صحّت) s. f. Rectifica- tion, correction, emendation, verifying, illustrating, attestation.

تصحيحه taṣʼḥīḥ-a A s. m. Muster. داغ تصحيحه dāg̠ẖ-i-taṣʼḥīḥa, The office in which the horses taken up for service are marked.

توحيد tauḥīd A (inf. ii. of وحد) s. f. Unity, be- lieving in the unity of the deity.

حيا ḥayā A (from حيّ) s. f. Modesty, shame. حيا دار ḥayā-dār, adj. Modest. حياکشته ḥayā- kushta, Overwhelmed with modesty, being very modest.

حيات ḥayāt A (from حيّ) s. f. Life. حيات تازه ḥayāt-i-tāza, New life, regeneration (used to ex- press recovery from severe illness, the pleasure derived from meeting with a friend, &c.).

حيثيت ḥais̤iyat A (from حيث) s. f. 1. Ubi- quity, universality. 2. Capacity, ability, merit. 3. Conditional proposition.

حيدر ḥaidar A s. m. 1. A lion. 2. A name of Aﻌlī, son in law of Muhammad. حيدري ḥai- dar-ī, s. One of the sect of Aﻌlī.

حيران ḥairān A (from حيرت) adj. Confounded, astonished, amazed, perplexed, disturbed, fa- tigued. حيران کرنا ḥairān karnā, To astonish, amaze, perplex, discompose, &c.

حيراني ḥairān-ī A. s. f. Astonishment, perturba- tion, confusion or distraction (of mind), dis- tress.

حيرت ḥairat A s. f. Stupor and perturbation of mind, astonishment, amazement. حيرت افزا ḥairat-afzā or حيرت فزا ḥairat-fazā, Astonishing. حيرت زده ḥairat-zada, Struck with asto- nishment, thunderstruck, aghast, amazed. حيرت مآب ḥairat-maʼāb, adj. Astonished.

حيرتي ḥairat-ī A. adj. Astonished.

حيز ḥaiyiz A (from حاز) s. m. 1. A place, part, a tract of ground. 2. A court-yard, an area.
