جگجگيا jigjigiyā H adj. Fawning. H.S̱. جگجگي کرنا jigijigī karnā, v. a. To fawn.

جگـﮩر jagʼhar जागरणं S̱. s. m. Wakefulness (occasioned by apprehension or disease). 2. Coughing at night, vigils, vespers.

جگـﮩـ jagah H s. f. Place, station, quarter, room, vacancy, stead. جگـﮩـ چهوڙنا jagah chhoṛnā, v.a. To leave a blank. جگـﮩـ سرخرچنا jagah sir ḵẖa- rachnā (dakh. i. q. موقع پرخرچنا) To expend on the spot (?).

جگل jugal युगल S̱. adj. A pair, brace, cou- ple.

جگم jugam युग्म S̱. adj. A pair, brace, couple.

جگمگا jagmagā H adj. Glittering, splendid.

جگمگانا jagmagānā H v. n. To glitter, shine.

جگمگاهٿ jagmagā-haṭ H s. f. Glitter, splendour, glare, much light.

جگنا jagnā जागरण S̱. v. n. To awake, to rouse, to be awake.

جگنو jugnū H s. m. 1. The fire-fly. (Lampyris). 2. A jewel worn about the neck.

جگني jugnī H s. f. 1. Fire-fly, glowworm. 2. An ornament worn round the neck.

جگنيه jagnya यज्ञ S̱. s. m. See جک jag, sign. 3.

جگوپبيت jagopabīt यज्ञोपवीत S̱. s. m. The sacrificial thread or cord, worn by the three first classes of Hindūs over the left shoulder and un- der the right.

جگي جگي jigījigī H s. f. An exclamation ex- pressive of surprise and pleasure.

جگيسر jaggesar S̱. or jagneshwar (यज्ञेश्वर) s. m. A name of Vish̤ṇu and of Siva.
