آرتهيا arthīyā S̱. (r. अर्थ Seek, beg) s. m. A fol- lower, a client, a protegee, a person recom- mended.

تهيئي تهيئي theʼī-theʼī H s. f. Merry-making.

تهير thīr स्थिर S̱. adj. Tranquil, calm, smooth.

ستهيا sathiyā H s. m. 1. A surgeon. 2. A mark in form of a cross, the four arms of which are bent at right angles, prefixed in vermilion by Hindūs to their account books at the com- mencement of a new year. The same figure is formed on the ground with flour, at marriages and other ceremonies.

متهيا मिथ्या mithyā S adv. Falsely. adj. False, counterfeit.

هتهيا hath-iyā हस्त S̱. s. m. 1. The 13th man- sion of the moon, Corvus. 2. The breaking up of the rains. هتهيا کي راه hathiyā kī rāh, The milky way.

هتهيار hath-yār S̱. or hathiyār (from هاتهہ) s. m. f. A tool, arms, weapon, implements, apparatus. هتهيارباندهنا hathyār bāndhnā, To arm. هتهياربند hathyār-band, Armed.

هتهيانا hath-iyānā S̱. (from هاتهہ) v. a. To seize.

هتهياٴي hathyāʼī S̱. (perhaps, from हत्या) s. f. Murder, slaughter, violence.

چوتهيا chauth-iyā S̱. (from चतुर्थ) s. m. 1. One who receives the چوتهـ chauth, q. v. 2. A quartan ague.
