تقويت taḳwiyat A (inf. ii. of قوي) s. f. Corro- boration, strengthening, establishing, confirming, confidence, strength, assurance, invigora- tion, support, comfort, reliance, trust, aid.

تقويم taḳwīm A (inf. ii. of قوم or قيام) s. f. An almanack, ephemeris, calendar.

تقويٰٰ taḳwạ̄ A s. m. Piety, abstinence, the fear of God. اهل تقويٰٰ ahl-i-taḳwạ̄, Pious.

تقي taḳī A adj. Pious, fearing God. ¶ tuḳạ̄, s. Piety, fear of God.

تقيد taḳaiyud A (inf. v. of قيد) s. m. f. 1. Ap- plication, attention, diligence, industry, strictness, injunction. 2. Care, assiduity, superintending, overseeing. (Plur. تقيدات).

متقي muttaḳī A (part. act. VIII. of وقي) adj. Abstinent, refraining, abstemious, sober, tem- perate, pious.

مستقل mustaḳill A (part. act. X. of قلّ Heb. and Aram. ) adj. 1. Stable, firm, durable. 2. Absolute, independent, despotick.

مستقيم mustaḳīm A (part. act. X. of قوم Heb. and Aram. ) adj. Right, straight, standing erect, erect, faithful, loyal, resolute, rightly constituted.

منتقل muntaḳal A (part. pass. VIII. of نقل) adj. Transported, carried.
