بينا bainā H s. m. An ornament worn on the forehead.

بينا bainā S̱. (for वायन) s. m. Sweetmeats, cakes, &c. distributed at marriages and other ceremo- nies. ¶ benā (for वीरण) s. m. Name of a grass, ḵẖas (Andropogon muricatum). ¶ benā (for वैणव) s. m. A fan.

پربينتا प्रवीणता prabīṇ-tā S s. f. Skill, accom- plishment, cleverness, knowledge.

چبينا chabenā चर्वण S̱. s. m. Parched grain to exercise the teeth with when more substan- tial food is not at hand.
