آلاپ چاري ālāp-chārī S̱. s. f. The act of tuning the voice previous to singing.

آلاپ आलाप आ and r. लप Speak ā- lāp S. (corruptly, alāp) s. f. Prelude to singing. s. m. Speaking to, address, conversation.

آلاپنا ālāpnā S̱. or alāpnā (आलापन see آلاپ ālāp) v. a. To tune the voice, to run over the different notes previous to singing, to catch the proper key, to sing, to time.
