آخته āḵẖta P or aḵẖta, adj. Castrated; a gelding. اخته مرغ aḵẖta murg̠ẖ, A capon.

آخر āḵẖir A (Heb. After) adj. Last, latter. s. m. End, termination, issue. adv. At last, finally. آخرکرنا āḵẖir karnā, v. a. To end, finish, conclude, terminate. آخرهونا āḵẖir ho- nā, v. n. To end, to be ended, &c.

آخرالامر āḵẖiru-l-amr A adv. At the end, finally, at last.

آخرت āḵẖirat A s. f. Futurity, a future state, the world to come. A. P. آخرش āḵẖirash, adv. At the end of it, at last, finally, after all. A. P. آخرشب āḵẖir-i-shab, s. The end of the night, before dawn.

آخري āḵẖir-ī A adj. Last, latter, final, extreme.

آخور āḵẖor P s. f. Refuse, offals, filth: a stable.

آخون āḵẖụn P s. m. Tutor, preceptor, school- master.

آخوند āḵẖūnd P s. m. Tutor, preceptor, school- master.

آصف āṣaf A s. m. 1. The caper tree (Capparis spinosa). 2. The name of a man considered to have been Solomonʼs wazīr. آصف راي āṣaf rāʼe, Prudent as Āsaf. آصف الدوله āṣafu-d-daula, The Āsaf of the state.

آفاق āfāḳ A s. plur. (of افق) Horizons, quarters of the heaven or of the earth, regions.

آقا āḳā P s. m. Master, owner. (Turk. آغا).

آنسو āṅsū अश्रु S̱. s. m. A tear.

آنن āṅan S̱. (perhaps, for आज्ञा) s. f. Order.

آنو āṅv आम S̱. s. m. The glutinous whitish matter or mucus voided by people afflicted with a tenesmus; affection of the bowels. آنوبيٿهنا āṅv baiṭhnā, To be afflicted with a tenesmus, or to be in the act of discharging the آنو.
