ذابح ẕābiḥ A part. act. (of ذبح) A sacrificer, a butcher. سعد الذابح saﻌdu-ẕ-ẕābiḥ, Two bright stars in the left horn of Capricorn.

ذبيح ẕabīḥ A (from ذبح) 1. part. Sacrificed. 2. s. m. A sacrifice. ذبيح الله ẕabīḥu-l-lāh, A name of Ismāʼīﻌl, the son of Ibrāhīm.

ذي ẕī A (obj. case of ذو) A lord, a master, (in compos.) possessed of, endowed with; as, ذي المقام ẕi-l-maḳām, Endowed with place or dig- nity. ذي حيات ẕī-ḥayāt, Endowed with life; an animal. ذي خرد ẕī-ḵẖirad, adj. Endowed with wisdom. ذي روح ẕi-rūḥ, An animal, a rational being. ذي شعور ẕī-shuʼūﻌr, adj. Intel- ligent. ذي هوش ẕī-hosh, adj. Sensible.

ذم ẕamm A s. f. Blame, reproach, accusation, detraction.

ذاتي ẕāt-ī A adj. (Sans. जातीय) Essential, natural, innate, intrinsick.

ذخاير ẕaḵẖāʼịr A s. plur. (of ذخيره) Victuals, provision, treasures, stores.

ذکا ẕakā A (from ذکي To blaze, to be acute in mind. Heb. To be pure, clean, splendid) s. m. Acumen, acuteness of genius, penetration, sagacity. ¶ ẕukā, s. m. The sun.

ذکر ẕikr A (Heb. Chal. ) s. m. 1. Remem- brance, memory, commemoration, mention. 2. Praise, fame, recital, relation. 3. Reading of the ḳurʼān and recital of the praise and names of God. ذکرکرنا ẕikr karnā, v. a. To recite, mention, relate, express, &c.

ذلت ẕillat A (from ذلّ) s. f. Baseness, vileness, meanness, contemptibleness, abjectness, disho- nour, abasement, affront.
